Global Grid Forum 13 was held in Seoul, Korea. Flora and I have spent 6 days in Seoul and 3 days in Muju. We have had our first skiing experience in Muju too! That was great!
William was having a meeting at the Global Grid Forum in Tokyo. Flora has joined him for a vacation. She has spent a couple of days in Tokyo while he was working. They then had an excellent few days in Hakone enjoying the hot spring, good food and the admirable view of Mount Fuji
It's the first time I'm in San Francisco. Although it was a working holiday where I was presenting at the JavaOne conference, I have a very enjoyable time there. The best thing is I have met my cousin who I haven't seen for many years!
SuperComputing is all work no play! I was presenting my paper on Jini and Web Services in ICENI at the conference, as well as doing demos and speaking at the UK e-Science and the Sun Microsystems booths. Now you can see why you can't find any picture of Baltimore.
I was attending the Global Grid Forum. Flora had planned for a surprise visit, although blown by myself after discovering her train ticket. Anyway, we had a great time there. Eating, drinking and sightseeing.
